I remember seeing a thread on someone blocking it off but I can't seem to find it. I'm getting ITBs soon for my k24a2 head and I was just wondering how people block the coolant port off? Trying to do it with the motor still in the car so simplicity would be the best!

ok, what i was saying is for a 3/8 npt you need a drill bit (or a hole to tap into of appx 9/16")

I just force the 3/8" tap in there and start working it. If your tap happens to have a really fat snout, you might need to open up the coolant orificie a little with a burr grinder.

Just make sure you tap the 3/8 coolant port at an angle away from the manifold to make sure you clear it

Wouldn't it work on a k24a2 if you just plug the water neck coming out of the side? The gaskets are almost identical leaving the water port which you tap with the 3/8 open to run through and connect to the thermostat neck.

All the ports line up. The picture of the manifold you linked to is by design... universal. It will fit the PRB, RBB, RBC, RAA, and PPA cylinder heads. If you have the PRB head and need the water port... you would simply install the water neck. If you own any of the other heads... you simply plug it. This manifold may still exist in the market place but is no longer shipping from Skunk2.
Not to confuse the matter any further but to make everyone aware of some changes at Skunk2, Skunk2 has started chopping the universal water neck portion of the manifold off making a unique part number for the PRB guys.
The only other part number offered still keeps that cast in water neck but is only meant for the 06+ Civic Si customers. It has a throttle body flange specific to that application and is void of an IAC port. If you have a swap using that style head... you will need to buy a throttle body adaptor. If you want IAC function... you will need to port the manifold flange.
Thats what i thought, i just got confused as to why on the site they seperated it to only the rsx. But what would i search for to find this block off Im having no luck. Thank you very much.

Confused? I thought you were talking about running the manifold. You dont need to plug or block anything off. The only time you need to block anything off is if you want to run a manifold that was meant for the PRB head or you want to modify a manifold (meant for the head like this: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...fbid=264712800304748&set=a.238950886214273.49748.146012435508119&type=3&theater) eliminating the coolant passage.

I would like To use this with the k24a2 . I know I can cut the entire water neck off like the black sk2 manifold previously post and do the 3/8 fitting but it seems as if the manifold could just work if I unscrewed the water neck and replace it with a sort of block off. I'm running a non modified Rbc right now on it and the gasket used is almost identical to the one I have for the skunk 2 manifold.

If you buy that manifold... it will work on ALL K Series heads.

trying to find this tap is very confusing as everything comes up 3/8" NPT. But I am gathering that is wrong.
I need something that says 3/8 NPT? If someone has a link to the tap they used that would be great.

Sometimes you have to do things for your self bud! Stop looking for hand outs...
SEARCH 3/8 NPT tap on the internet and you will see that it requires a 3/8" -18 tap and a 37/64ths. drill or hole. You can alternately use a 9/16ths. drill or hole.
The guy above gave you a chart that spelled it all out.

ok so it is the right thing then. A simple yes would have worked. I don't see how asking for conformation before I buy the tap is considered a handout. If you want to send me your tap I'll happily accept and consider that a handout.
This thread is very confusing.
So 3/8" NPT is the same as 3/8 NPT...
I already have a hole so I don't care about the drill size.
