Anyone use non oem cams for an a2 with this setup
People use "vtec killer" non oem cams. They just have the 1 big lobe (since that's all u need with ex rockers). This causes the camshaft to be a bit lighter/less energy to turn so that's good.

Anyone running this vtec killer setup and looking for someone to tighten up their tune hit up tktuned from crsx...he helped my car from running extremely rich and overall fixed the tune given by the guy who put my build together.
 
thanks for the listing...do you think s2000 valvetrain is sufficient to run these cams or should I upgrade...

Hi I have a k20a3 as well, your using the stock k20a3 rockers? And did u just put the A2 cams? Thank you

brian323 whats your build plan? i have a stock k20a3 that i ran 17.5;bs boost on that made just under 300whp. you can push the a3 up till about 350 before you start to run into problems so i wouldn't bother swapping out cams

So far my k20a3 is stock besides an intake but I'm working on a k24a1 head to get ported and polished,what do you think? Also would it be bad if I change my stock 5 speed flywheel and pressure plate for a type s one? K20a2 flywheel n pressure plate? Thank you
 
I would definitely upgrade to a Type S flywheel (and clutch + PP) given the chance. Some aftermarket companies don't even make a base model clutch. I think ACT is an example. Much more support for the Type S stuff.

As for the head, which cams and rockers are you using? You'll have to make sure they're matched or you've done something to make them work with a normally incompatible setup. Like the A2 pin swap or VTEC killer setup.
 
Hi all of this forum , I need some help , I just make this setting in my k20a3 this with pistons of typeR , I just measure the compression and has 96lbs in 4-cylinder , my question is if I'm doing something wrong? should camshaft is in another position ?
 
Is it possibly for you to send me the kal for this setup. I have everything I need but in only have a weekend to do not because it's my only car and I need to get it tonwork on monday. Tried messaging aznasinine but it wouldn't let me. I'd pay for it too. Someone let me know! Please!

Hey a$ap foxy, what basemap were you looking for? I am looking for a basemap for a complete a2 valve train into an a3 head. Is that your setup? My car keeps stalling at idle and I need to drive if for the Dyno tune. I don't want to tow it ��. Anyone have a basemap for that??? Thanks ahead of time

i have a question kinda relating to this post .... im pretty new to the k series engine. i picked up an 05 Honda Civic Si (EP3,k20a3) about a year and a half ago. I got it with stage 2 Brian Crower Cams, single sprung Brian Crower stage 2 Valve Springs Skunk2 Pro Series Intake with skunk2 Throttle body (not sure aabout how big the throttle body), DC Sport 4-1 Header with MangaFlo Cat back... wondering if anyone has this build or very similar too it. Having tuning issues, or if someone has a map i could use. Not looking for most hp right just looking for conservative map. Thanks Guys, Anything helps!
 
Hey man, I’m sorry to bug ya; heck i don’t even know if you’re still active! I’m completely new to valve train modification but I’m in the process of my vtec killer config -
1) I can either run k20a2 cams / a3 rockers
2) I can get k20z3 cams / k24 rockers
My question is which setup is more viable?
Also// I’m at the scrap yard trying to pull these rockers off but I can’t seem to; do you have to take the bottom cam caps off?
 
Hate to revive a dead thread... but I am also having issues getting my vtec killer setup tuned well enough to get my ass to a tuner.

Does anyone have a .kal they can share with me? I turn the key over and have to pump the gas pedal to get it to start. Then I have to give it gas to keep it idling on its own. But it's basically way too rich / way too much fuel and basically flooding it. The valve lash has been set and is good. Replaced all of the spark plugs.

k20a3 (ep3) w/ KMOD Vtec Killer Setup .. a2 cams
270cc injectors
Skunk IM (Pro Series)
Skunk TB (70mm)
Hybrid Racing CAI
IACV Delete (can re-install if advised..)
Stock MAP
Stock TPS

Any help would be super appreciated!
