In relation to this, I noticed that the 06 Civic Si uses two different camshaft TDC sensors...

Noticed this when trying to move my wiring from my blown RSX block to my 06 Civic Si block.

Civic Si 06-07 Camshaft TDC Sensor P/N: - 37510-PNB-003 (exhaust), 37510-RAA-A01 (intake)
yep you are totally right
thats also true for
accord
tsx
and element
dont know if the RAA ones fit on the rsx harness but it should be since nobody noticed it earlier :p
so the list should be

The engine's at my friend's house but I believe the connector looks the same. It just points upward and towards the intake manifold side (left side when looking straight at it) instead of bending to face you.

Didn't realize that when I made the list, changed it to show the difference and noted the credit for the discovery. Thanks!

thanks
you are a true gentleman

now that thread is getting somewhere its an absolute must!!!

I even discovered that i needed an rsx-s crank and knock sensor

Bloody hell... Just found out that the oil pressure sensor is different on the 06+ Civic Si. I actually like the new connector better. But that means my RSX wire harness needs modifying. Or I can just replace the one on my Civic block I guess... But I'm not sure if mine's faulty.

It appears that 37240-PT0-014/37240-PT0-023 are older (yet compatible) versions of 37240-P2F-A01.

Yes, that will work for 2002 as well.

So can I take a k24a2 (tsx motor) and swap it into my '02-'04rsx-s? I'd just use the RSX harness and ECU (w/kpro) and I'd use some sensors off the RSX that are different? Or will the sensors plug in too? aka I'm planning to do a k24a2 swap into the rsx and not switch heads or anything...so I'll need:

k24a2, crv side timing mount. That's it, yea? And I can swap the oil pump and what have you.

Technically, yes. You'd need to change out the throttle body to a regular one and change a few other sensors around but it could be done. It would be much cheaper and IMO just as good to swap a K24A1 bottom end into the car and use the stock RSX-S Head. The RSX-S head flows better and for some reason the K24/20 Franks tend to make more power. This would be much cheaper.

Hey Froth! I noticed you didn't update your first page with my findings on the Oil Pressure Sensor back in late November.

That's because Honda's oil pressure sensor design hasn't changed since about 1990 or so. The different part numbers are strictly for different makers of the sensor be it TEC/Denso/Fasco Controls etc... If you order a sensor by a single part number from TEC/Denso/Faso Controls you will get the same sensor and it will work with the block you're using. The reason I never bothered doing the Oil pressure sensors is because A- they nearly never fail B- They almost NEVER leave the block even when sold as a shortblock and C- Almost ANY Oil pressure Sender from Honda will work. They're a simple fail safe design, if oil pressure drops below 10psi they will kick the oil light on in your instrument cluster. They really don't do much else. If I recall correctly Honda has used the same 1/4" BPT (British Pipe Threads) fitting for the Oil pressure Sender for nearly 20 years.

Well the guy I'm doing the swap for already has a TSX block or something... Maybe I'll throw the type-s head on the k24a2 but idk for sure what he wants. We'll use the type-s throttle body anyways. I think the TSX comes w/an RBC intake manifold so he'll just need the karcepts adapter.

TSX comes with an RBB manifold, which in in my opinion is a better choice for the K24. You'd need a Non Drive by wire Accord throttle body if you want it to bolt straight up, or the Karcepts adapter to use the RSX TB. Also depends on what year the TSX motor is on how much work you'd have to do to get the RBB TSX manifold to work on the RSX-S PRB head.

have any of you peepz had to change your speed sensors?.... because my v-tech aint going on my car.... but when i unplugg my computer and plug it back on the v-tech stays on untill i hitt the v-tech a little hard then it doesnt go back on again.... and it shows speed sensor error(something like that) ......i have a stock k20a swap.... and i am running the k20a2 2005 map (tuned w/ cold air intake and headers w/ stock exhaust) ......can you folks help me on making my v-tech stay on.... its not tuned yet because im just w8ting for some parts.... and i made my v-tech hitt at 5,000 rmp..... PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!:D

Get it tuned before you go into VTEC, that's a good way to ruin an engine. Do you have any DTC's or Errors with K-pro? Is your check engine light on? Also..It's not "v-tech" that's a phone company. It's "VTEC" without a hyphen or an H. This also is not the correct thread for this question, I'd use the search feature to see if anyone else has had this problem or one similar to it.

any onfo on rewiring the K24 TSX crank angle position sensor to work with the K20 harness?
