good day, do you have a wiring diagram of the mr2 power steering pump? do we still need to use the ecu that comes with the pump? or will it work without the ecu and just needs relay and diodes?thank you very much
Wiring schematic located at the bottom of Post #1 in this thread. No PS ECU needed. We run it at full 12v for consistent feel and just use the bottom valve adjustment to control the overall assist level.

I notice that you are using a 6 ribs belt instead of 7ribs... I have a k20a (itr) in a dc2 and I was looking at a 7 ribs but coudn t find any... I m a bit concern about using the 52" 6ribs.... Any issue with it?

Also when I measure I end up with 52.5 lenght... Am i wrong?

Correct, we used a 6 rib belt because there are no commercially available 7 ribs in that length. However, it's a non-issue as this setup is without the AC compressor. There is a lot less load on the system with only 3 accessories vs. the original 4 accessories driven by the 7 rib belt. We never had any problem with it, but have since converted to the EHPS method as is is much more efficient all around (more PS assist, adjustable assist, less HP wasted).

The belts are measured by their pitch diameter, which is an imaginary line near the center section of the belt. If you are getting a larger number than what the belt part number states, then it's because you are measuring on the outside diameter of the belt.

I've searched and cannot find what sensors are needed and not needed when adding power steering to a non ps car. There is a sensor on the power rack I have. Does it connect directly to the rsx harness? are there any other sensors?

I noticed that for the EHPS conversion, it looks like you're using the Karcepts AC/PS delete for the belt/pulley.

Is there any reasonable way I could get the belt to still run the AC compressor, but use EHPS?

Edit: If not, I can live with N/A and mechanical PS, however I'm then wondering if there's any way I can get that pulley from Jackson Racing any more for the hood clearance on my EG...

Yes, running only the AC compressor w/o PS is easy. You would just use the OEM idler pulley and bracket setup that is found on EP3's or 8th Gen Civic Si's (they are the same bracket and pulley, and those chassis used electric PS themselves, so it is the exact configuration you are looking for). As for the belt to be used, if using a K20A/A2/Z1/Z3 crank pulley, you will need the 8th Gen Si belt. If using a K20A3 or any K24 crank pulley (larger diameter crank pulleys), then you will need to use the EP3 belt.

Hope that helps.

Do anyone what fitting i need for my car. Eg rack with mr.2 pump ... high pressure line to and from the pump and rack. Thanks in advance. I noticed karcept doesn't offer the line kit no more.
