All you need is a bracket, custom high pressure line and an oil cooler with hoses for the fluid. There really isn't a kit. Unless Karcepts can track down the MR2 pumps to go with it but good luck I waited forever just to find one lol. Also, there are two versions to the EHPS - I'm running the second generation so the bracket shown in this thread wont work. Apparently though the guy who sold me my custom bracket also gave the designs to Karcepts for them to reproduce.

I love my EHPS and would not go without it.

ok I have read alot of this thread and am still unsure of the correct answer .Can I use a dc2 p/s rack on my non p/s eg subframe or do I need to swap the whole rack subframe and all .I did see a post that said you need to slot the holes on one side can somebody confirm this or help me out here ! And dam $172 for the pulley from supercharger /moss wow they must know us K swap guys need it for p/s .

Subframe is interchangeable between a non p/s and p/s rack.

best of luck.
Thanks I wasnt sure and did not feel like reading every page of this thread .I worked on a few other things this evening got my trans all cleaned up on the outside , Installed my new comp clutch , cleaned up some wiring ,tomorrow or monday I'm gonna do the p/s rack .

Installed the dc p/s rack tonight on to the eg subframe. I definitely had to oblong the holes for the bolts a bit on the u bracket that holds the p/s rack to the subframe on the passenger side of the car . It seemed to fit fine other than that .

Almost finished with my ehps kit, is there a suggestions on how much i should adjust the pressure switch on the mr2 power steering pump? Also, do you guys think a upgraded alternator is necessary since the mr2 draws a lot of current/amperage? Please advise. Thanks!

Really, just adjust to your personal liking. I run wide/grippy tires on autox (tight/violent turns), so full assist is what I personally prefer, but you can lower it if you want more road feel. Just loosen the lock nut and tighten the setscrew inward for more assist and out for less assist. Just play around and see what provides you the most comfort.

Nope, not at all. I run an 11lb battery with stock RSX-S alternator and no problems. We did some amperage tests and when driving straight, the pump is pulling about 15 amps. With steering inputs, you will see 30-35 amps. The only circumstance that is hard on the pump/electrical system is when you hit full lock on the steering wheel as that is dead-heading the pump. We've seen spikes around 100 amps in those scenarios. You just don't want to slam full lock and keep forcing the wheel in that position for extended periods of time (which is not a scenario that really ever happens)...

Here's a vid of the EHPS in action!

Hi, I have done a setup like this used an MR2 pump, bosch relay, circuit breaker and 10 awg wiring. all the electrical is good and working fine. The pipe circuit is from the pump used a high press pipe to the rack (into the narrow fitting) and from the rack (from the wide fitting) to the reserviour and to the pump once again. I don't know how can i set the press screw. I used Dexron III fluid i turned the steering wheel lock to lock left and right and it still feels hard too much. the pump is installed upside down (wiring down/hydro pipe up) Can anyone help me please guys. I removed the return line form the pump and fluid is coming back not in a pressure or quantity just it is circuiting and sometimes make a cut ( air i think so) help me please guys. Thanks for all.

and the MR2 pump additionally has a pressure adjustment on it where you can control the amount of assist desired. If you desire a little more road feel, lower the assist to your liking with the adjustment screw; if you want Cadillac luxury, crank it up.

Enjoy!
Where?
