K20 Rotrex/sequential/dry sump'd Pug 106

Hello guys, I've started my k20 pug 106 project now. In the next few months things should start to shape up nicely.

The main goal of my car is to make it as fast as possible for the money I have. There are no restrictions like there would be in some race series cars.

The general goal is to get the weight down to around 800kgs (roughly 1750lbs) and for the engine to produce around 450hp.
This project is by no means all about power, there will be a proper roll cage installed, digital dash, widetrack suspension, remote reservoir dampers and some nice brakes.

Here are a few taster pictures for now while I get some proper progress together..

Here's how it started

Designed and machined my own mounts (k-swap mounts would hit my chassis)

Add this into the mix and things get interesting ;)

Lots more things happening including tilton pedal box and chassis work.

I'll keep it updated, this will be pretty nasty ;)

Well an update ?..

Managed to get the car together and setup properly.
Over the last few months I've had serious issues with the handling and the car warning to pull me all over the place. After spending quite a lot of time and money on suspension setup and gearbox it turns out to be the steering rack had play in it. Since that's been sorted the car drives a million times better and actually is a pleasure to drive.

Even managed to do a trackday last weekend. Some improvements to be made and some issues to sort but nothing major.

Been having issues with fuel injectors.. I bought them off a seller on here but cannot for the life of me remember who it was..
I'm trying to source a new injector and injector Dynamics want a part number off the injector but I don't think mine have them.. have a I bought dodgy non genuine ID1000's??

they are bosch injectors.
i always put them now!
ID buys bosch injectors and sell them twice price for a fucking anodised adaptor added ;)
now, your problem is we cannot see the complete reference because it was intentionally removed: 0 280 158 ...

Sorry for the late reply

I bought a new set of genuine Injector Dynamics.. so I've sorted the issue although at a cost.
Even if the ID1000 are just 're branded Bosch injectors I like the fact they match them properly and have a unique number so if one fails you can order a single one that should be identical flow to the one that failed.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've recently got back from my trip at the Nurburgring.. had a great time and it was an emotional trip as it was in honour of my best friend who last away last year. 50 people went for the same reason so it was a big trip.

I didn't do many laps in the car as I was suffering from some small issues but when it was working it really impressed me. There is lots of potential in the car.
I need to look at getting a dry sump kit (integrated dry sump) and find a better CV joint as i went though 4 on the weekend trip.

My sincerest condolences for loosing your best friend...and a great idea and gesture celebrating all togehter what he loved best...I am moved reading that...wow.
This car has plenty of propulsion . Was it your first ride in the "Grüne Hölle" or as you guys translate it wordly "Green Hell"?

BTW...do the oil sump has baffles?

Sorry to read about your friend. I'm glad you guys got to celebrate his life in such a way.

Very unique trailer. The tandem tires are spaced apart much more than my trailer. I wonder if it affects the turning ability when backing it into a specific location (Tires barking)?
