Its a question that comes up from time to time I notice and always wanted to delete that clip/ junction box off the top of trans in the teg. so I grabbed the civic's harness.
Thanks to CRIP as well for the help.
at first glance you see the black plug on the harness which covers up the white plug.

after removing the white plug out the black cover you are left with 2 plugs on top. which just slide off. green and a gray one.

each of these plugs have a connection strip in them. the wires do not have continuity from the green to gray plug. only continuity for the wires on that side. hopefully that makes sence. meaning- do not connect a wire from the green side to the gray side. were just removing the box, not rewiring the harness.

KEEP WIRES OF SAME COLOR TOGETHER! CONNECT ALL WIRES TO A POINT, SO 4'ISH YELLOW/BLACK, BROWN/YELLOW, AND BLACK/WHITE. YOU SHOULD HAVE 4 SOLDER POINTS.
BLACK/YELLOW CANT REMEMBER. THE YELLOW/BLACK IS THE INJECTORS POWER AND SOME OTHER PLACES, THE BROWN/YELLOW GOES CRANK TO CAM POSISTIONG TO OTHER SENSORS, BLACK/WHITE GO TO THE COIL PACKS.

solder the groups up, add some split loom sleeving for easy and bam!

hope it helps someone

nice diy chris!

did you happen to ground the BRN/YEL wires?
i opened up all my wire loom and out of 6 brn/yel wires in the junction:

- 2 wires go to ground
- 1 to cmp a
- 1 to cmp b
- 1 to ckp
- 1 to "sheath" knock sensor wire (i think this is probably to 'dampen noise'?)
- 1 joined to one of the above wire for VTEC oil pressure sensor
- 1 joined to one of the above wire for ECU A23?
- 1 joined to one of the above wire for ECU A something

im scared adding ground wires too close to ECU.
if i ground wires too close to ECU, would it 'eat' all the signal?

idk, just thinking :hmmm:

i have been working on tucking my 02-04 rsx-s engine harness. wanting to delete the black junction box (j/c104). looking for some help on clarifying some wires.

this is what i need some clarification on. also my in's and out's (which direction the load on the wire is running). i'm still missing 1 wire on the blk/yel, maybe evap? the ??? are the things i'm unsure of. any help is appreciated!!!! and please, let me know if i'm wrong on things and i will update them.

this connector has 24 terminals

BRN/YEL - 6 WIRES - ????which are all grounded???? (g101)

- crank sensor - 1 wire out to sensor
- both cam senors - 2 wires out. then, from the exhaust cam, it goes to ground (g101)
- VTC oil pressure - 1 wire out to sensor
- ????ECU - 2 wires in from ecu????

BLK/YEL - 6 WIRES - fuse 4 under dash for 02-04 rsxs

- VSS - 1 wire out to sensor
- reverse lockout - 1 wire out to sensor
- intake cam sensor - 1 wire out to sensor
- alternator - 1 wire out to sensor
- ????ECU - 1 wire in from ecu????
- ???? - 1 wire to/from????

BLK/WHT - 5 WIRES - fuse 1 under dash for 02-04 rsxs

- ignition coils - 4 wires out to coils
- vtc - 1 wire out to sensor

YEL/BLK - 7 WIRES - circuit D04 for 02-04 rsxs

- injectors - 4 wires out to sensor
- exhaust cam sensor - 1 wire out to sensor
- crank sensor - 1 wire out to sensor
- IACV - 1 wire out to sensor

- all black wires from the ignition coils tie together before going to ground (g101)

- ????besides the knock sensor should I be using shielded wire for anything????

from the 2nd website below, if you scroll down it shows a wire diagram (posted by quick_ls) of a yel/blk teeing into a seperate yel/blk and then teeing into another yel/blk. any info on that would help, as to what the 2 separate yel/blk's are, from ecu????

the pictures and literature i have been using, thanks to screech for making this thread!!
