918478, it is the ATI race damper at 7" dia

on a k24a2 is it better to use the 5.5 or 7 inch diameter one?

I talked to Ken at ATI and he told me to run a small block chevy alternator pulley so I could use my oem alternator. BUT if I was to do that then the alt would also need to me moved over since the belt will be an inch or so over.... And I am not sure if there was room for the belt to fit because of the frame so I just decided to run stock pulley. Would be nice if it would work though

yes ^ thats the right #

HickamHatch - you were right about the race damper... trying to get that to work is not worth it. having to find a chevy V-pulley to bolt on the damper is one thing but trying to find a V-pulley thats the same shaft size as the alternator pulley is a PIA. not too mention V-pulleys are notorious for slipping. then you have to make it all fit with the frame rail

Any more input on the ATI Street Damper? I am trying to determine if it is truly worth the expense.

I was looking into going with a PRC/RRC OEM pulley (smallest & lightest of OEM pullies) but thought of this as an option (albeit a much more expensive option).

This would be on a built motor/trans, high hp turbo setup.

Thanks!

I have one but I dont think I am going to use it...

I have the Race, i just had to buy a larger belt. There is a video on youtube and its sounds so much smoother when the race Damper is on. i recommend it.
is this true or??????
so you can or cant run a serp belt with a race pulley?
