When you say I should be peaking at 6k TOO, to what are you referring? Are you comparing me to someone else you recently spoke to, or about? Or what?

I wish I peaked at 3k, and carried it all the way across
Just based on those modifications you're running, you should carry the torque you made at 5k straight through to 6k. Instead there's a literal 10 ft/lb difference in torque over a 1000 rpm range and that's disheartening.

At most i would have expected a 3-6 ft/lb differential. perhaps look into a 3.5" custom intake. those are well known to pick up power from 6k on as well, so you'll have an even beefier top end.

I had the car dyno tuned to run efficiently, not to squeeze out the most power possible. I had some bolt ons, threw them on, and got it tuned. Now according to you, it's probably no super efficient in the areas you marked, or at least could be better. But it will definitely be enough for me.

The car is used for road racing, so I have more things to worry about than losing a little torque somewhere below 6,000. Not like I'm ever there anyways ;) Thank you though! I'll keep it in mind next time we go on the dyno and I'm trying to pickup some more power/efficiency. Let me go get my kal from the car for you, and you can take a look at it if you're bored. I'll bring up the issues at hand with the tuner and see what he says.

I read up to page twenty and didn't find anything to prominent for my set up.
What you think ill make?

K24a2 stock block
K20a2 head port and polished and valve job
K20a oil pump (dc5r)
Drag cartel 3.2 cams
Rbc w/ aem cai
Kidd racing crsx header
3" straight pipe to 3" skunk2 mega power
Rdx injectors

I'm hoping to see 260-275

K20A2 - Stock Block
Supertech valvetrain / Supertech flat face valves STD size
Toda Headgasket
PRC Intake Manifold w/ stock TB
HR Race Header
2.5" KTeller exhaust - two resonators no muffler
Modified stock injectors ~510cc @ 60psi
SVM 212

243.6whp / 168.7tq - starts to dip at 8800rpm.

Definitely a RBC or bigger, 70mm or bigger TB, 3" exhaust should be in the 250's. I have to say, these SVM 212 cams are pretty friggin' good. I can't explain but it starts to have a hard noticable pull once it hits VTEC.

i'm also on svm 212's. i could have sworn i posted this graph in here but guess not.

k20z1
svm 212
supertech valvetrain
rbc
injen cai
bpi v-stack
rdx injectors
ASP header with megaphone/reverse cone
3" exhaust with resonator and muffler
stock bottom end
z1 trans with tsx 6th, 5.0FD, mfactory lsd

the dips are pretty weird. the tuner tried everything to smooth it out but nothing really worked. it still pulls smoothly all the way to redline.

Shouldn't have a problem getting those numbers. I would port that rbc though and get a throttle body. The gains vs. the money you'd spend would be well worth it imo.

k20a2
stock block/head
rbc
karcepts cai
rcrew header
rsr piping (2.36"?)
mugen twinloop exhuast

218whp/158-160 tq? dyno printout doesnt tell me exact tq the graph is between 150-175tq and was just a baseline run. i have the graph if anyone is interested just gotta snap a pic of it.

this was with a tune I got sent to me from another forum cant remember. so it could have done a bit better with a tune for my motor.

my Z1 blew up, long story short i had bought a used bottom end and got fucked on the deal. whatevs, life goes on.

Anyways, stock K20A3
Spoon DC5 Raceheader
vibrant 2.5" midpipe DC5 spec
Custom fabbed Glasspack axleback(basically straight through exhaust.)
4.7fd 6spd trans
PRB intake mani, 270CC injectors, BDL 70MM tb, Custom 3" semi cold(goes to the subframe)
Kpro, tuned by Jamie Marsh or Marsh Tuning.
initial pull was on 87 octane, then the final pulls were 93 mostly.

final number ended up being 179.8 or something like that.. pretty much 180whp.. its a night and day difference.. u can tell seeing the powerband straight up shifted all across the board

Good numbers all in all. Shame you got fucked on that deal. It'll come around to him. As far as the glasspack, is it one that you built yourself? Some louvered core glasspacks can be very restrictive (causes turbulence in the exhaust system) even though they are straight through. There are cheap ones like the Cherry Bomb and good ones like the Dynomax. Edit: I'd also swap the prb mani for an rbc. They're cheap and i think you would see gains in your setup.

Nice! I bet a bigger or hood exit header would put you at 300. Maybe even more. I'm sure you've already thought of that though.

it's a summit racing glasspack, i'd say it's pretty good. i had an RBC but sold it to fund my build, this motor is in the car temporarily so im just having fun until the real stuff begins. i'll have updates on the for sure, should be good, 87.5x99 with cartel 4's
