Nice, I'll look into this. I just looked at Jegs and they got a Meziere pump for Honda/Acura and it comes with some fittings. They look like good size but they did say how big. Was thinking I might weld their fitting to the plate and then of course add the pump.

I don't think i'd go about doing it like that.... that will be waaaay too much weight hanging on the fitting. It'd be much safer to remote mount the pump on a frame member, and then run lines to and from it. You CAN weld a -16 fitting to their supplied fittings, and then run a hose that way.

The pump i have is a Meziere as well, just with a slightly different pump housing shape... same motor as that though. They are nice units (buy the universal pump though... that 'kit' they have at Jegs includes a B-series block-off plate... no sense in paying for something that you'll never need)

Was look'n at Jegs again and you can get that sport compact Meziere water pump by itself. Meziere also sells individual fittings. I was also look'n at Skunk2's pics again. I want to mount my radiator in the same location. I have the upper radiator piece all figured out. If you look at pics of their setup they have roughly a 1 1/2 aluminum piping running across the front of the motor to the bottom of the radiator. So where did they mount their water pump? My guess is at the block off plate, but I cant find a pic of that area of the motor. Any ideas. I know someone thought different but I can get a Meziere 1 1/2 hose fitting to whatever size fits the pump and weld that to the plate. Then I would have the pump then another fitting welded to my aluminum piping going to the bottom of the radiator. To relieve weight off the fittings and plate I would make a bracket to help support the pump. Good idea or not?

Jus make sure that if i'm in the lane behind you when you're running, that i have lane choice... then when the fitting cracks from the vibrations and weight,i can choose to run in the other lane... LoL... j/k ;)

But seriously, a hard-mount to the motor isn't the best thing (imo) unless you have -some- sort of flex in the line, or have an overbuilt bracket holding it to the motor.

For the time and expense you will have building a bracket, and then crossing your fingers hoping it'll work, you could have just mounted it to the frame somewhere, and then run lines to it that have some flex in them... i.e. either braided hose, or aluminum tubing with Wiggins clamps on each end.

Not only that, but also the less i have to disconnect from my motor if i have to change it at the race, the better off i'll feel. There isn't going to be much that is hard-mounted to my motor unless it absolutely -has- to be.
