Just interested in knowing how long people wait or how devoted they are in obtaining the swap..i myself have been thinking of it for the past few months. has anyone waited a year or 2 or more before they got theirs?

i planned and saved for mine for a year. drove a hela long way to buy a smashed up 04 rsx with 30k miles. and it took me 3 days to put it in my car , lol. dash conversion and all. was well worth the wait.

Had money sitting around after i crashed my first car, so it was between building a older prelude and throwing in a jdm h22 and building it later, or buying a k20aR motor and redoing my beater EG hatchback paint job and all, already went down the Prelude Route, as that was the car i crashed. So i decided to try something new with the k20R motor in a EG hatch. And thats how it all started.

i bought my engine in sept of 2006 motor still isnt in the car because its being fully built . but if I would have just got it and thrown it in as i bought it i would have been done in about 3 months due to funding. The more funding you have available the faster the swap will go. Also the more of a complete swap you start with the faster it will go.

I had a deal fall through on a b18c and said screw it and bought a k. That was in Dec 2005. Spent 18 months collecting bits/pieces/etc. Started swap in about May 2007. Took my time and had the car running in July. Its now Feb 2008, and I'm still working on it, but I'm being a bit of a perfectionist as its turned into a hobby :)

damn i had the same situation i had a bad deal go through on a gsr and then i decided either build a bad bseries or get into the k game. im in iraq so im still waiting to get home but once i get home it will be about 1 yr. if i wasnt here it would have taken longer based on money issues.

I haven't even started my swap yet. I wanted to do an ek k swap about 3 years ago but I didn't have the money.(Tools and school payments ) Then my pos car blew up and I was forced (Thank God) to get my CRX. Now I'm collecting pieces and kind of on a roll now. I just went to dc and racked up my cards but ill be caught up in a month or so and then its on again... I've got a k24a4 and a k20z3 motor and trans and some other random parts

Mine wasn't too long...I decided to do it in October of 2005 and was done by February of 2006 so about 4 months. Most of the time was waiting for parts.

I drove my buddy's car (HondaFreak) with a k24a2 and the same day, I ordered a K24a2 long block from HMO.

Took me a while to find a trany and all the other parts but it was well worth it. That motor ended up in my wife's car after all. LOL

6 months from the date of inception....... was gonna fully build my gsr and then i started doin my homework not that a b isn't a good motor but for the price it would have cost me to build the b with all the parts i wanted it was litterally like within 1500 of a kswap so i said **** it and went k worth it but as its my daily now i can't make it visually appealing due to thievery around here but its kinda cool as a sleeper i get alot of surprised looks from mustang owners that think they can walk on me with just exhaust thats what makes me smile

i made the decsion and started buying parts back in about june/july 2005, and i had it running in october 2005. i already had half the parts for a full b series build and sold it all in favor of getting a k20

i sold my truck because my friend wanted me to build a car. options were b20-turbo, h22, or kswap. i asked wut the kswap was ? and he said lets just do it. so ya. about 4 months later, from a stripped frame to a jdm front dc2 with a k20a2 in it. it was hard finding parts back in 2005, none were in stock or accessible and the price was pretty high at the time. good times i must say, still loving every minute of it.
