Wish I would have seen this a couple weeks ago when I helped my buddy put his clutch in looks like we'll be pulling it back out!

He's had 2 masters and keeps blowing them out!
Or you can buy an adjustable slave cylinder from me.

I wished the washer trick worked on K20Z3 equipped vehicles, sadly it's not enough. But this set back enabled me to create a new part to benefit the K Series community.

It worked on mine. I have a 06 si trans with a A2. I don't see why it wouldn't work with a z3 block, the dimensions would be the same.

Perhaps the clutch pedal assembly architecture? I like the washer trick, it's a great thing for those people who are on a budget or who need it in a pinch.

The washer is great when you know about this sort of issue ahead of time, or are doing your own work and don't mind dropping the transmission again but for those people who have to pay or don't wan't the headache of dropping the transmission again the adjustable slave cylinder is a HUGE plus.

After to speaking to several authorities in the industry an adjustable slave cylinder is they way to go. Not only is it a true fix it allows the end user to have the clutch engagement where they want it.

It wouldn't hurt though I doubt you would need it.

Ok, I just installed a Comp clutches stage 4 and its kind of hard getting it in 2nd gear. its a K20R with a rsx-s CMC, my release point is way too close to the floor and the pedal is adjusted pretty far out so I'm guessing its got to do something with the clutch. any help would be nice.

oh and also if I do this washer trick, you think it would make my release point a bit higher? thanks

You can make your release point higher by adjust your pedal in.

The washer allows the release point to be lower and have full use of the pedal adjustment.
