egh..honestly, i'd use the money and get a 350z with some 19'' staggered rims, slam the hell out of it, maybe a nismo exhaust and sound system, and call it a day. good reliable car that's fast and easy to maintain and doesn't get STOLEN.

honda/acura's get stolen way too easily, and good luck if we get even half of what we spent from the insurance company. not to mention i live in so cal, and cops target us too much. there's even been occasions where they raided a honda car meet in a parking lot and towed away/fined a bunch of cars. if you get a smog ref ticket your screwed royally.

don't get me wrong, i LOVE k swapped cars..but the drama that comes with it is just insane.

I am going to get another one in the future. I loved it, why not do it again? I can do it for cheaper the second time around, get great gas mileage, and NA in a light chassis is fun as hell!
What prompted you to sell the Supra? What are the specs and asking price?

 

In all honesty, if you go through vehicles like that, I wouldn't do another one. Its rare that anyone makes money through selling a car, which means each project is a financial loss and we all know this is an expensive hobby. Even more expensive for a well done show car. If you have the ability to do all of the work yourself, then go for it. If you have to pay someone (wire tuck, paint, body work, etc.) then I would say skip it.

Also, figure out for yourself what about it interests you? Do you like the actual work of the project, or do you like the end result of the project? (i.e. do you want to *BUILD* a show car, or do you want to *HAVE* a show car?) That may steer you in the direction you want to go.

 

Howdy Owdy! Good ta see you again. I guess that the consensus here is not to do a Kswap. I think it'd be great to do an EF hatc. Square, squat, and low. I say GFI!!!

 

Hell, if/when my R goes to thieves or a wreck, im done with cars like that. Like one member said, get a Z33, NA1 or hell, even a Miata can be tons of fun, offer all that you want and not be a magnet to jackers.

 

Same here, I love my K swapped DC2, but I wound NEVER do it again. Big financial lost. I could have get a cash down for a house and kept my B18c5.
This swap just took much time for me. Plus that you never sleep well when you have a kswap in a nice car.
but im happy with it, would redo it, but kind like a personal accomplishment

 

This is my second time around. I do it because I love it and plan to always own at least one 92-95 Civic Hatchback my entire life, I guess it's different for me because on my top five favorite cars of All-Time the 92-95 Civic Hatchback would be in the top three. Absoloutely love the car. The engine just makes it all that much better.

I love k swaps cuz for me vtech and fuel efficient make my ideal daily. If my k20 hatch ever got stolen or wreched I would probebly get a 2010 tl type sh 6 speed or build a less common k swap.

for me if i can find a clean eg shell, i'll swap everything over. but i really want a ek. so as of right now im planning to sell the eg shell with all the swap parts in it so i can do a ek with my k20a.
