If you're set on a balance shaft oil pump wouldn't the z3 pump be a better option than the k24?

Sounds like you should be looking more in the 260-270 range as far as power goes. Not Much higher requires what you're not willing to do...
Eh I've seen builds with more power still utilizing the K24 oil pump. I've read success stories of some revving to 8500 on them.. of course for a split second. Not hanging around a curve in that range. Again, 8k will be the highest my motor would see often. I've seen some with stock TSX blocks rev to 8k every once in a while last years.

deibral, my build consistes of a k24 with 87.5mm pistons ( 12.5 arias ) with mildly ported rbb head, rbc or rrc intake and skunk2 alpha kswap header. i already have toda single springs.
i was initially looking for toda a3 cams, but these are hard to find, so i am considering the toda c or d cams, as these might be easier to get

What are you doing about retainers and valve spring seats? I think I'm going to go with the TODA C cams myself.

A3's are more popular as these are more street cams. C-F series are K20 racing cams, that many use in K24 applications and they are rare I think. In my country I would say 80-20 ratio A3 vs. rest. Not to mention racing series are about 10% more expensive.

Its been some time since Ive seen them being sold second hand.

rbb head, its from a euro accord cl9
Mmmhhh...I am not that fit with RBB heads, but with the combination of keepers and retainers make the reliability. A wrong combination could bring good parts into hardships. On my own engine I combined the RSP retainers and keepers, working with TODA camshafts, both parts are beyond '03 production (6° keepers and thicker center of the retainers), where both where revised by Honda because of broken retainers of the S2000 (F20C) engine.

You may better ask K20actr.J, he have much more experience on that as he uses TODA cams for over more the 100,000 km.
