Hi guys,
im using an oil filter relocation (k20/24 going into a lotus) because the oil temps are worse due to the engine location so im running another oil cooler and not using the stock one which is under the oil filter.

The relocation take off plate appears to use the standard union bolt part which holds the stock cooler to the block and acts as a thread to hold on the filter. Problem is, the part is long due to the standard cooler. So without the stock cooler does anyone know of a union bolt which i can use instead? Surely the union bolt cant thread in enough to make up for the lack of oil filter.

This is the union i have now

I got the part above, it looks 100% right, threads match with the threads on the previous part from the engine (the long one used to hold on the stock oil cooler), but the damn thing wont thread in properly!

The threads become super tight after about 1 full turn as if the thread pitch is wrong. This cant be correct because the stock part threads in fine, and the threads match up perfectly when I hold the 2 threads against each other.

I dont want to force the thread through, and it looks clean on the block side.
