Hey people,
I've been driving a 2007 Suzuki Swift Sport (ZC31S) for a while now, and a thought keeps bouncing around my mind: would a K20 actually fit in the engine bay? Tought I'd ask around before I get obsessed enough to actually look into it.
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much info floating around the web for my specific ride and sure, I could simply turbocharge the damn thing and call it a day, but I really want to know if kswapping a 1st gen Swift is technically feasible.

Welcome to K20a.org @DNA_Destro. You would need some dimensions of the engine (LxBxH), define and list the interface from the engine to chassis harness, coolant system, gearbox, fuel system, air induction and axles depending on tranny design. Thinks like ECU and chassis control need also clarified, a 2007 would have ABS controlled maybe externally, and so on...

Unfortunately there are quite a few wiring issues to overcome. The Keyless ignition, BCM (Clocks), ESP, ABS and Electric Steering all use the cars CAN bus. When you remove this loom to put a normal engine loom for a K swap you have no power steering, ABS, clocks or ESP. I guess the only way to over come this is to use an aftermarket digital dash connected to your new ECU and a steering rack (hydraulic or electric) from another car. Lots and Lots of work :(

Would be an expensive and stony way to get it well functioning, unless you get rid of all of that stuff or keep the original engine and boost it. Maybe there is an emulator available, concept would be an programmable standalone ECU with an CAN bus interface (from aftermarket plug and play if available or for DIY). Not worth the effort. There are nicer and lighter chassis available with a much easier way to go.

There are two standalones available with the Swift Sport CAN interaface built in, I’m going to test it on the swift engine and if it works then the standalone can be used to control the K engine and interface with the CAN.

Ps: the chassis on these cars are fantastic, very light and handle brilliantly so a NA 300hp K swap would be awesome 😎

Welcome to K20a.org @fairbrotherarie23.

I'm waiting 2 do th k24 engine swap with a turbo looking for 1 asap how much would it cost to do this and do you know of any cheap engines around any chance I could please pass my car onto you guys
Does it have AWD?

In any case, a boosted 99 mm stroke engine on such a light car is neither as 4WD nor as FWD a good idea. Why do you need that much performance?
