ive seen a couple threads about this, but no real answer, so oh well i have come upon a very good deal for a k24z1 longblock, and was wondering if their is any issues with putting a 2.0 head on these bottom ends? ive heard its the same as the k24a4 , btw its out of a 2010 crv

so you sparked me to look into it more. have my k24z1 frank put together. searched for the 80th time and the pistons are the same as the accord. damn this. also the intermediate shaft is different from the k24a series blocks. you have to use a 04-07 accord or tsx mt shaft which is a long shot to find. as compared to the k24a series that can use the more often found k20 shafts.

damn, so i need to find either halfshaft now, ****kk.. i have some aftermarket pistons that im going to be using anyways, so pistons arent an issue, but damn the halfshaft thing is going to be a pain.

are you sure it has to be a tsx mt trans halfshaft? cause i bought a rsx a/t halfshaft, and its the same as the type s one, im thinking maybe its the same way for the tsx..

wtffff. :( so is their any pics of your swap you can send? and did you already find your halfshaft? also what axles are we supposed to run? ep3 axles / and kswap eg/dc axles still work?

firgured maybe the halfshaft lengths were different thats why. lol but alright, i got the block, and it has 700 miles on the motor all original straight from the dealership for 150$ , all i need is the halfshaft.. did you happen to take out the balance shafts? or did you keep them in?

also, are you keeping the factory oil filter setup? or you going to plug it, and run it like the k20's with the oil cooler?
