Every time the valves open they spend a certain duration at each point of the lift curve
Joe was talking about signal strength. The flow numbers are not as big of a deal at lower lift as the signal.

Linked back to this thread from the for sale section...

Still have plans for more testing?
As of right now testing will probably be back on for spring... But some things in life are more important than k-series and testing, like friends, family. Its still winter here in the northeast, we have a couple more months before it is officially spring.

This is interesting.

Does the 06-08 RBB head flow better than the 04-05, or where the changes to the 06-08 just in the camshafts and oversized intake valves?
Luke at 4piston has flow tested 04-05 vs 06+ RBB and has seen 1st the larger valve did not make a difference. With proper porting and a proper valve job you could possibly pick up some flow in some areas to make a larger intake valve worth while

I wonder why honda made the change if it effectively made no difference at all.

I don't know... maybe they had a ton of 36mm valves in inventory & wanted to use them up lol your guess is as good as mine.

or maybe they thought the larger (stock) valves would have more contact area at the seat & possibly stay slightly cooler or transfer heat better, who knows, just guessing in the dark

Hey guys I just picked up an RSP K20Z4 head for my K24A3 (same as your K24A2)
Im guessing this was a good move?

What cams where used in this comparison?

Your post is pretty random...I'm not sure what the intended contribution to this conversation was? I'm not trying to be inflammatory, but we have a thread specifically for posting random dyno graphs. You should delete your post in this thread and move it to the dyno registry thread:

Sorry. Thought it might have been helpfull to have another dyno sheet to look at that's all.

Bum smack received :-(

back from the dead with another test on a different motor

2008 stock TSX (longblock) with:
RRC IM, Injen Intake, P2R TB spacer, Header & exhaust

before stock RBB head with stock valves (+1mm oem intake)

after RSP with Ferrea 6000 (std size) valves. Gained 19whp up top! fyi we were able to eliminate the tq dip from 5000-5700 with a stepped intake w/velocity stack. Getting that to fit is another story LOL
