how do this header compare k tuned ram header ???

I can't supply a back to back test between the two since I sold my ram header to find this one, but quality wise, it's MUCH better than the ram and the tubing is way bigger.

The way it fits iN the bay is great too. Really hugs the chassis nicely.

they say 48mm but i'm assuming they used 1.875" piping in 16 gauge or so. That turns out to about .0625 wall thickness, which makes it 1.75" inner. Aka, they're not doing anything ground breaking here, that's a proper size for a big motor. So it should work well. with 1.75 ID and the near 3" exit as long as it's stepped in the right spots

and judging from that built motor picking up 8 whp with it i'd say it works well.

For anyone wondering what size tubing all that is inner diameter it's:

1.75" stepped to 1.825" secondaried to 2" and 75mm is about 2.84 inches ID

I have this header myself. Haven't gotten my engine back together yet, but I figured I'd post so i can come back and update later with dyno results.

My engine is a 2006 tsx 88x99 12.5:1 with K600 cams and supporting valvetrain, rbc with 80mm tb, 3.5" intake, 3" kteller exhaust piping, and turn down muffler. Going to be ran on pump gas

So was this header ran on a TSX or a TSX k24a2 swap? Id really like to use this on a TSX so just curious.

Like above, this was on my swapped civic.

on 93oct pump gas, the setup made 270whp/207tq. I don't rev past 8000 rpm. I feel this header did it's job for my simple setup

All on pump 93

My buddy Dave, who is on this forum, did the initial street tune. Mike Amerson here in mobile finished it off.

I've had the header on the car for about three months.

Im leaning towards this header as well. How loud is your exhaust setup?

It's pretty loud. 3" and a straight through muffler can be loud. It's not raspy though. Really deep. I'll see if I can upload a video

same here with mine. Loud exhaust overall but the tone is really deep. I'll try to get up the little clips i have of mine.

I'm going to be using a 3in exhaust with an 18in long, 4in wide resonator and prob my stock ITR muffler or something of the same. Hopefully it isn't too loud.

CHILD, any pics of the vband you welded to the header?

For me it was more about performance. .if the exhaust was going to be loud then oh well. That's really the purpose of buying a big tube header is for the performance aspect of it. If you're just gonna choke it out somewhere inthe exhaust then it's really not doing it's job effectively. So loud it is for me lol

I understand that. I rather have the potential to make more power by just swapping out the muffler or dropping the exhaust, than not to have it on hand.

Also want to buy this header for k24 swap in a RHD eg hatch..Is there anyone running this header in a RHD eg civic?
