Is K24a2 still interference when out of vtec?

So I am dumb and had the camshaft spin on me when I was removing the vtc gear off my k24a2. Crank was at tdc and the timing chain was removed. It spun about 180 CC and did so without much resistance and didn’t make any crazy noises. I was afraid I may have touched valve to piston though, so I took the head off to inspect. I can’t see any evidence of valve/piston contact, but I know these are interference motors, so I’m confused. Is it possible that the motor is non interference when the rockers are riding the low lift cam lobe? This would explain my ability to spin it freely back to its starting position. Either that or I bent some valves lol.
Thanks!

I’ll be testing the valve seal with coolant in the chambers after work today but I’d still like to know.
