Please explain why oem is better than cometic...

I personally used Cometic Gasket with my K24 build with Darton sleeves.

 

So did I on a k20/k24

I use oem when I can all, but ive never had a issue using cometic. I use cometic on just about everything

 

i eventually got the engine built with darton sleeves then life got in the way
anyway ive manaed to get the car running and ive now got headgasket problems
i used a cometic mls 3 layer
failed on all inlets
held down with arp studs
the sleeves dont seem like they have dropped,i gave a quick measure and they are about 2 thou plus,i will properly check once its all cleaned up

Did you measure the liner offset on every 45° angle where a block is near to it? Was the block decked before?

 

Who do you guys use to get the sleeves installed?
I am in process of turbo build on my K20A2 motor and been trying to see who to use to do the sleeves.
