Are all K20 Halfshafts the same?

From what I have read pretty much all the Standard Transmission K20 Halfshafts can be used. Can someone confirm this? Also, are they all the same strengthwise? For example will RSX Base Halfshaft hold up as well as a Type S Halfshaft on a motor pushing 300+ WHP?

I've yet to hear of someone break a half shaft...

Tq breaks things, not hp. A built k24 and a built k20 will have much different effects on your drivetrain at similar hp levels. Having said that, I would concentrate on the parts that are prone to failure like the transmission (2nd gear, 3rd gear) and the axles (if planning to launch the car very often).

Thanks for the info. I will be swapping an 04 TSX motor and trans into my EJ1 and maybe incorporating a 75 shot with a tune down the road. I know my TSX halfshaft won't work without a custom axle so I wanted to find out what halfshaft would be the sturdiest replacement. I plan on running Karcepts 36mm hubs and Axles from an 02-04 K20a2 and 06+ Civic Si so the axles should be pretty sturdy for my purposes.

Yea the halfshaft isn't the weakest link by any means, any Rsx or Ep3 half shaft will work just fine. You'll break other parts way before this goes
Thanks for the confirmation on the halfshaft. I really appreciate it. Looks like I will be picking up an Ep3 one locally. A guy offered to sell the halfshaft, ECU and a Type S charge harness to me for dirt cheap.

I read about the CRV and Element Halfshafts on someone's thread while researching. Tried to get that info confirmed on one of my own threads with no luck. Thanks again for confirming that. So many different options have been discovered for the K Swap since I first started reading up on it back in 2005.
