Really to be quite honest. The hardest thing for me trying to find is the manual transmission. My location makes it hard for me to find any of these parts.

Other than buying a brand new Honda Accord transmission online from Honda at $1,900.

finding one for a better price will be extremely difficult.i got lucky and happened to buy mine before that retarded article came out so it was fairly inexpensive and there were more of them.however i found three tl trannys for 1200 and theres a cl type s tranny in miami for 750 but the guy wont ship it.you would actually probably save a couple hundred dollars if you bought one out of canada.ive found a few of those for about a grand

oh damn! i can feel it coming, the prices of v6's doubling or maybe even tripling before 2010 even hits. Grab a v6 while they still dirt cheap. hold on to them for awhile, until all the AFTERMARKET r&d is streamlined and jam that sucker on when its all done.

trannys yes they will be hard to find but the motors themselves i dont think theres anything to worry about.if they go up at all i doubt it will be much because there are so many different motors to choose from and theres a ton of them out there

I'm new to the forum and can't start a new thread yet... I bought a 93 Accord today cheap.. needs timing belt & head, rest of the car is low mileage (55k) like new! I'd like to put a V-6 and 6 speed in it.. is this possible? or a V6 with the existing auto trans. I have a '88 Legend (2.7L V6) that I could use for parts and I have a line on a 3.2L and a 3.5L from wrecks here locally (NW U.S.) with auto transmissions, but nothing on a M/T yet or... I would consider another 4 cyl... is a K20 the best bang for the buck? Do all the Honda/Acura motors have the same bellhousing/trans bolt pattern?
Thanks for your suggestions and help... and your patience with a newbie!

anythings possible. i would say that if you can get a good deal on the 3.2 or 3.5 then thats the route i would go.in my opion j series is by far the best bang for the buck.i have way less in my swap than anything else ive done in the past and a whole lot less than my buddy has in his k swap

oh yeah, and I'm still not sure the motor will bolt to my existing A/T... anybody know? I can fab motor mounts without too much trouble. a trans adapter plate would be a pain though... rather swap to a m/t 5 or 6 spd if it wouldn't bolt up to my trans...

the engine wont bolt to what you have but you should be able to use the auto trans you would get with buying the 3.2 or 3.5 or you could get a manual trans but it would take some fab work for mounts.and people are using the auto harnesses and ecus so i think you would be okay as long as you can do a lil fabbing and wiring
