I know many topic about Frankenstein swap were open in the past. I open one new, because I need to learn step by step every operations to do with the pieces and the components that I can find here in my country.
I already look and read many topic about this argument, something I understand but something not. I would have one topic with all the informations, we can put a link of other topics, but is important also copy and paste the explain replies.
In these topic, please help me by writing simple english and posting pics.
Sure Im going to ask also silly questions so apologize me, please. Here in italy nobody try to do this swap, so you are my teachers
I try to write short questions, for each step and components and divide my topic in block, such as Main Parts, Other Components, Fitting and Modify, etc
My target is to swap this engine inside civic hatch ’93.
So let’s start
**************************************************************************************************************
NUMBER 1= MAIN PARTS ---> That's OK
Block:
Here in italy I can find K24A3. Is a good base to start? I read that a good one is the K24A2 of Acura TSX because has the oil squirters.
A3 no have. Is that a problem? Solutions?
Rods and pistons are ok of K24A3? Why I read is better use them from K24A1 /2?
Here I can find if im luck a complete engine for a cheap price

ANSWER
K24A3 is very similar to the K24A2.
Already have the piston oil squirter
You will not need to change a lot of the parts.
No need for the K20A head.
No need for the oil cooler.
No need to swap pistons or rods.
Swap the K20A2 oil pump.
Head:
K20A2 complete head, with camshafts, valves, retainers and springs

Which is better? I think to looking for K20A or K20A2 transmission. Both fit plug&play? (plug&play u say ‘bolt on?’) Other tranny that u suggest?
ANSWER
