This is a comparison of every major sensor located on the Cylinder Head/Engine block of a K24/20. However, this is not just for the electrical sensors but anything that is used to actuate a particular engine function. I got the idea after listing the VTC sensor in a thread on here, All comparisons are done using the following vehicle models. RSX, RSX-S, TSX, Accord, CRV, Civic, Element. I am not including the DC5-R because they share so many commonalities with the RSX-S it would be pointless. The most common used parts will be BOLDED aswell as any of those common parts that match eachother. All emissions sensors are excluded as they are mostly particular to the specific vehicle throttle body.

So what this is saying is that on the k24/k20 swap, the sensors in bold are the only sensors that will function with a K20A2 engine harness and read correctly? Or unless you have the oppostite connector from the OEM harness you are using the sensor from?

Basically? Yes. The bolded sensors are what is KNOWN to work with an RSX-S harness and the unbolded things need to either be re-pinned to work or have a plug switched out from the stock harness. The VTC Spool valve and Oil Control Valve however I am unsure of, If anyone can clear it up that would be fantastic.

All you have to do is copy the part number and go look it up :P I'm not even that lazy and the prices make it look all jumbled up.

TPS Sensors are not sold individually by Honda/Acura. They are outsourced by Keihin and would need to bought in extreme bulk quantities(500+) to be sold individually.

But would they be interchangable? If so, which ones work on which throttle bodies and which dont?
Man...we're putting Froth to work... do work son!! ![]()

Accord/CRV are interchangeable to the best of my knowledge, RSX-S is alone...unsure if anything else matches up to it.

So for those of us doing either k24/k20 swaps or K24a2 tsx swaps into our dc/eg/ek/etc chassis we need the 37500-PNB-003 crank sensor out of a Type-S which is like $55 from hondapartsdeals.com?? If so, are there any alternatives to using the existing sensor already in my motor?

If you have part of the stock TSX harness you can Repin/Re-splice the TSX CPS plug onto the RSX-S harness and use it that way, then you can retain the stock TSX CPS. That seems to be the norm.

Other than the TSX CPS, can the A1/A3/A4 CPS be used the same way?

Yes. Minus the K24A1 CPS, as it is identical to the RSX-S CPS and requires no modifications to work with an RSX-S harness :P

Unsure exactly, but it would make sense if indeed it is a completly diffrent sensor.

he said it's visually different, and swapped it out with one from a K20A3. but we figured out that his timing chain is off by 1/2 a link so the verdict is still out about the different TSX sensor
