hello !!
Im from Brazil (sorry about My english)
I have a Civic Si 2008, engine k20z3, and these days I noticed a strange noise coming from the top of the engine… when I start the car, and I drive normally at low rpm, it doesn't appear… but if I accelerate to the point of opening the Vtec, after that it stays with this noise as if there was something loose inside the engine…it only makes the noise In slow running…when it holds the rotation in any range, it stops and continues normal…we have already measured oil pressure, cold start 6 bar, after hot it does not go down to 2 bar …has anyone ever had this? follow the link of the Google drive for a video of the noise…
Anyone can help me? My mechanic said that can be VTC cam…

Noise on Vtc?

Typical sources for such noise are broken lost motion springs, too big valve lash, broken piston rings, any increased bearing clearance as well as things like connected to the alternation of load path, which can actuate a valve in case it fails it function. But what does alarm me is the cold oil pressure at idle of 6 bar. How cold was it at the cold start?

Cold Start, 6BAR...after warm, 2BAR...i dont think that is piston rings or motion springs...cause when i don acelerate too much, i can drive 1000 miles and dont make that noise...only when i drive on Vtec Range...
