ok i have searched and searched and searched for days....maybe i am blind but i can not find any info of people doing this but i had a tsx motor that detenated and now a perfectly good tsx head that has not even seen 200 miles ......so i purchased a crv longblock but i would like to know if the swap is possible with no moddification and what do i have to do to make this swap work.

or do i have to get a type s head????? please some one point me in the right direction as i have been so tied up with work i have not had time to get more info on these swaps.

also oil pump upgrade..... benefitial or no???

so you need the tsx pistons and rods to make this work??? also not to sound like im rich because im not but i am willing to spend the money on the head since i still have my tsx block and it is fully built with 12.5.1 pistons but that is for my other project..... so if my tsx block will do better with a type s head i can purchase the k20a2 head for my all motor set up (k24a2) and pretty much mount the tsx head with my crv swap or vice a versa but i am just confused as you can see... someone tell me which way should i go

I won't tell you how to prioritize. I only have one car, so if my car was down I would swap over the 12:1 piston&rod set up into the K24 block and bolt down the A2 (TSX) head. Daily driver first and project a not too distant second. If you already have a daily driver I would send the TSX head out for some porting and exhaust valve resizing (+1mm). The TSX head has more material that a good head porter can use to make it out flow a TypeS head. If you've found a thread (and there are many) about putting a TypeS head on a CRV block just do as they've done substituting the TypeS head with the TSX head. I don't know how badly your motor detonated and what parts besides the block were compromised. If your crank, and/or rods, and/or pistons, are still good I'd use 'em too.
