Welcome to K20a.org @Slammedndbroke.

I have some liking for the B-series engine, especially for the B16B. That idea of Honda having a high rod-stroke-ratio in favor of a 116 hp/Liter high engine speed engine amazes me. I see quite a few GM and VW 1.6 Liter approaches in the hill climb racing scene, running Kawasaki, Suzuki or BMW RR heads to approach 230-240 hp. With the VTEC system and the right head 260 hp should be possible. The B18C still is a upgrade, but has less of that high engine speed flair and suffer the same issue like the K24, the ports are not adequate for the displacement. Anyway, getting into 150 hp/Liter with a B18 is challenging.

That said, the K20 has both and more of both of them, it has the revving capacity of B16B (redline 8400 rpm/fuel cut 9000 rpm), the torque capacity of any of the B-series NA versions, the weight of a B-series and amazing tuning options with an well supporting aftermarket. I've tuned stock longblock's with bolts on to 250 flwhp and 175 flwftlb. Still a OE operational range (< 8500 rpm), still OE quality parts on the longblock and IM, still more powerful then any stock I4 2-Liter NA longblock out there.

For me the K-series, especially the K20, has everything what a good NA needs. Worth every penny. So now I would be interested what is on your list regarding the character for the drive around and time attack @Slammedndbroke?
