K20 Rotrex/sequential/dry sump'd Pug 106

Hello guys, I've started my k20 pug 106 project now. In the next few months things should start to shape up nicely.

The main goal of my car is to make it as fast as possible for the money I have. There are no restrictions like there would be in some race series cars.

The general goal is to get the weight down to around 800kgs (roughly 1750lbs) and for the engine to produce around 450hp.
This project is by no means all about power, there will be a proper roll cage installed, digital dash, widetrack suspension, remote reservoir dampers and some nice brakes.

Here are a few taster pictures for now while I get some proper progress together..

Here's how it started

Designed and machined my own mounts (k-swap mounts would hit my chassis)

Add this into the mix and things get interesting ;)

Lots more things happening including tilton pedal box and chassis work.

I'll keep it updated, this will be pretty nasty ;)

Just a small update,

Dry sump arrived, dry sump tank made, dry break couplings bought.. ill be fitting it in a couple of weeks..

I've also purchased a quaife sequential gearbox so looking forward to seeing how that works out.. ill be investing in some proper engine management and closed loop flat shift.. ill put some pictures up over the next few days.

I am looking forward to see how the dry sump installation goes.

I run a paddle shifted pneumatic sequential and flat shift at the track. This makes driving so much more enjoyable as you can focus on car control without the distraction and foot work as all the up and down shifing including throttle blipping is automated.

What ECU are you going to use?

Few picture updates...

Dry sump installed, gearbox installed, New rocker cover ?

Did a track day :) went pretty well.. honing the car in a little now.

Bought a trick load cell

Bought a trick ECU.. syvecs S6gp
Will be mapped and flat shift setup very soon.

Also bought a water/methanol injection kit.. so will be interesting to see how that performs.

Also, next week the car is going to have a brand new proper exhaust manifold made.. large runners and long primaries/secondarys so looking forward to that.

Well things are happening..

Fancy stuff is coming in. Looking forward to the next trackday.

HP electronik PDM and membrane switch panel

I started to learn CAD so designed some brackets and had the water jet cut out of carbon fibre.

Here's one of the panels with all the buttons mounted.
Silver ones are engine/boost maps whilst the other is traction control.

And now for this beaut! Been really looking forward to getting my hands on this!

Aim MXG dash logger. It will be used in conjunction with the syvecs Ecu via Can bus.

And some Inconel 718 exhaust bolts.

I hate you now. All looks amazing!
Congrats on doing things properly and being very different.
What CAD software are you using and do you outsource the water jet work?
Also, how easy would it be to get a steering wheel mounted sheet of carbon off you like that (minus the two silver switches at bottom) for my setup?
There is someone on a Caterham forum building wireless controls for steering wheels at less than half the cost of those on the market. I was planning on using it and wanted to mount switches on the steering wheel.

I'm new into cad so practicing on a few of the more available programs.
I outsourced the carbon profiling to H20 profiling who done a fantastic job and turned the parts around very quickly for me.

Ermm well the fact you have to use high quality auto claved pre prev carbon otherwise the water jetting would just blast the carbon to pieces and Dr laminate things.. the steering wheel backing plate cost me around ÂŁ140
I could get some made I suppose, a few people have asked about them.
