Searching shows that "PRB" will appear on the head, but I understand at least one other K-series head has the same marking. What else can I use to make absolutely sure it's what it's claimed to be?

Thanks!

I feel better now, seeing others have questions instead of me being the only one... So consensis is that the exact same head casting is used by both the Type R and Type S, with cams being the only difference. Since I want to put this head on a K24 block, and will likely change the cams, I wll assume as long as the head says "PRB" on it, I'm good to go - right?

Yea PRB is good to go, if its type r thats better but i doubt it, the person probably would have mentioned that when they sold it to you..but what block are u using? its got to be a k24a1 or a2 or else u need to change the pistons if u wanna run 50 degrees cam advance.. cause there will be clearance issues, some say there wont be but others say there will be..id just make sure u have the right bottom end that ive heard has no problems at all..a2 or a1...Hope that helps..
