and how much compression psi throw your cylinders bro?

 

With 12.5.1 k20/k24 I am getting 290 psi in all cylinders

Yea I am going oem myself with supertech setup

 

How many kilometers are you riding with Wiseco pistons? I'm looking for pistons for daily driving (up to 20kkm per year). In Poland we have cold winters... Wiseco will be a good choice or it is better to buy Supertech pistons?

Looking for CR 12,5:1 and 87,5mm bore.

 

Going on 25k miles, ~40k km, on my wisecos. No problems yet. I always let the car warm up before driving. At least until the first line on the temp gauge.

I ride short distance very often (1-2 miles) and there is no time to warm up.
That's why I'm afraid to go on Wisecos.

 

F BOM, u have 87.5mm or 87? What all is needed to go 87.5 at the machine shop beside honed and possibly hot tanked..

Give them the pistons before any machine work with the piston to wall they're spec'd for, .0035 if I recall correctly, and they'll do the rest. It's all on the spec sheet provided with the pistons.

Those are wisecos recommended specs. Your engine builder can recommend something else depending on intended usage of the engine.

That's what I went with. My car is daily driven and beat on regularly.

 

Yea mine will be the same I am just debating between supertechs pistons I seen on K mods page or the wisecos. I have supertech valve train in my head that's why I was considering . I've seen a few ppl in write - ups suggesting that 87mm may be too noisy and nick up the walls if they're not a nice fit after machining the block so I am going with 87.5 when I order em this week.

 

Wisecos are an overall better piston. Set them up right and they'll treat you right.

 

Yea, I feel like you can't go wrong w some Wiseco's. Where did you order yours from? Now I am figuring who to go through.

No time to warm up? Just wait for idle to go down at least. .ull be ok but u gta always let yr car warm up man, I feel like performance is down if I dnt let it warm up but I'm always use to turbo cars too.

 

Don't worry. When it's cold I rev to 2500 rpm.

 

Even in the summer I let the car warm up at least 5mins before driving. Its not a hard thing to do. Start your car 5mins before you have to leave the house. When you are heading home start the car and sit there a few mins. Check your phone, surf your radio stations or ipad for something to listen to...its not rocket science.
