For those curious as to what a k24a4 can handle (Work in progress - dyno sheet up)

Well here is what i have done

stock k24a4 (accord)
type s oil pump
arp head studs
rbc mani

thats pretty much it... i have done tons of searching and found a lot of people asking what a k24a4 can handle stock... to many none of these got answered... even myself i was kinda curious..

the k24 in the car (em2) is just to get by for now while the other one on the side is getting built.. its about 20% done...

so went to the dyno last night... spent 4 hours on the dyno.. sorry no graphs cause we werent done with the tuning but have a number printout and it was almost midnite when we got done.. and i had to work the next morning..

keep in mind that we set the redline to 6000 rpm
and the clutch started slipping the last 3 runs of the night...
all runs were a pull in 5th

345.6 hp @ 6143 rpm and speed reading of 111.1mph
350.1 tq @3590 rpm and speed reading of 65.5mph

all at 10.8 lbs of boost on a custom made turbo.

so next week the (partially sponsored) twin disc goes in .. i still need axles ... and back for a retune

PS:.... this was all done on a MUSTANG DYNO.... thinking about going on a dynojey and dynapak just to make my numbers look higher.. hahaha

the WCF wasnt inputted on this one so i dont know what it would be with the correction. This was the final numbers for that nite before the clutch finally started slipping
Image

The second sheet with the curves is NOT the graph of the final run. The graph was taken right before the clutch started slipping. It was the cleanest graph so i had him just print it. I think this graph we were only pushing about 7-8lbs of boost. we did probably about 5 more pulls with the slipping clutch after this graph

Later it came to my conclusion that i wanted to lower the car to give the rims and tires a more fitted look... but in doing so would make the car sit to low to the ground.. so instead i upgraded my rims to some 18in rims covered in 205/40/18 toyo proxies

not bad. i have an 03 accord and on 9psi i hit 291whp/272wtq. mind you this was on a small turbo. im going with a new setup and was hoping to get to around those numbers. RAA rods look very weak so ive been kinda weary of going that high.

also, you might make more power by ditching the RBC manifold. a stock k24a4 dosent rev high enough to make use of it. someone already tried it and actually lost power up untill 6k on a k24a4. id try the RBB (TSX) manifold instead

actually we did that with my friends k24a4 in his rsx... and we actually gained more torque thorughout the mid section... it was in the same day.. we tunedin the morning with the tsx mani... then later in the afternoon after swapping to the rbc gained more without tuning... but thats just one car.. everyone will yield different results

custom trimmed turbo... i guess one could best describe it as a 50trim on the exhaust side with a 60trim on the blower side.. its like taking a 50-1 and mating it with a 60-1

3inch downpipe with 3 inch exhaust all the way through

Sorry guys.. was spending the weekend at universal studios... anways

yes you read this right.. it was set to 6000 but when it was held up there it revved past it a little.. not by much. i assume its the sturbo still wanting to rev the motor more..

was this on pump gas ?
yes this is on 91 octance.. stuff found at your everday gas station..

dude... what with a technical mumbo jumbo.. :D ... if you actually read the FIRST post and post #11 and #12 most of your questions would have been answered.

-for one i didnt go past 6000rpm.. we stopped at 6000rpm cause of the slipping clutch.

-Im running stock ignition

-im running 91

-the degrees dont matter cause every motor is different. What my motor makes at "x" amount ignition might not work for your setup seeing as that we are in different states with different weather and different elevation... etc.. etc..

let u know when my laptops charged and i open shop back up on monday. I keep my car at the shop and dont bring it home..

why are u asking me about my timing when it has nothing to do with ur problem????

u have a k20 with aftermarket pistons running a different turbo with higher octance gasoline and running more boost... did i miss anything??.. and not to be mean or anything but u already started a new thread asking about this very same problem...
