NOW CURRENTLY THE FASTEST STOCK BLOCK DRAG RADIAL RSX IN THE COUNTRY


Figure I would post up my DC5 build and some pics of the car for you guys. It's pretty simple, I like it that way. :new_slayer:




When I first got it, AEM SRI was the only mod done, took that out for a Injen CAI as my first mod, lol.

I've been to the track once on this setup and managed to get a good 10-12 runs in that day. Best time was a 13.8 @ 104 with 5 slips in the 13s. Since then I added the Omni Power CMC which should improve my second gear issue I was having at the track but I'm not sure I will make it back on this setup again. I am planning on adding a HR 74mm TB, ported RBC and DC 2.2's w/ Super tech valvetrain.

Edit - Traded my uncut RBC + cash for a RRC, which is now being ported by Stefan @ ASP.

Nice to see another DC5 but I have heard terrible things about the omni CMC.
terrible things said by drivers that probably got it when quite frankly "they ain't about that life"

the part serves a purpose that only a few of us really need, personally, since having mine i have less issues going into 2nd gear, my omni cmc took a shit on me and when i put the stocker back in, i found it to be alot easier to grind 2nd more now than ever. after explaining this to a few people, my engine/trans builder made it easier for me to understand why this happened, the omni cmc moves the slave almost twice as fast as the stock cmc, therefore that small difference in time makes up for what happens when i grind 2nd, makes total sense because i never had to put the pedal all the way down to engage/disengage the clutch.

sorry to threadjack Dan but i'm sure you can vouch for me when i say the OMNI CMC is fucking win:new_slayer:

No worries at all, makes my job easier since you already explained it. The RSX has a terrible 2nd gear, I missed 2nd more times than I want to talk about at the track and still managed to get 5 passes in the 13's. Pretty sure 1 pass I missed 2nd on a 2.1 60 ft which was the best of the day, prob woulda ET'd better that pass. I have yet to go back to the track with the Omni CMC but I've done a couple dig runs since then and haven't missed 2nd since.

@Mike, I think that's picture is literally when the springs were first done

The RRC and TB are on their way to ASP as we speak for porting. Once I get it back, I'll be good to go as far as install is concerned. Can't wait, so anxious.

Nice. I'm kinda regretting not going with those. If I don't get the results I'm looking for with this new k24 I'm gonna try some dc4's.

I think those would go perfectly with a built K24. I plan on getting a built K24 in the long run too but I haven't made up my mind if I want to stay all motor or not. I'm just happy to hopefully have 20-30whp more with these next set of mods.
