Hello, just wondering, will a K24 from a TSX be able to fit a CRX without too much trouble? I wanna do a frankenstein motor, K24 bottom with K20A (type-r) head. No replacement for displacement! :D

it's never a question of if. it's more of a question of how much. :D
the hight of the k24 might prove to be a problem in a crx. a k20 swap into a crx sits pretty high as it is.

hey welcome to the site. you too kseries.

I am starting to wonder if one were to use an siR style hood and then prop it up at the windsheild "drift style" with some 1" spacers between the hood and the hood latches and were very careful with it when you popped the hood I have a good feeling that you may be able to fit a K24 under the hood seeing how ultimately you'll only have to make 20mm more clearance and that might just take the cake.......to bad it's not something that cant be easily tested

so are you really thinking about doing this or what?
Not anytime soon, will be modding the Accord for another year or two :)

I'm really wanting to drop a K20/K24 hybrid (TypeR head/TSX block) into my car, but HASport's K-series mounts for the 6th gen Accords won't be out for a while :(

Which leaves me with either turbo or H22, haven't decided which route to go yet.

This is what inspired me to contemplate the K20A/K24 hybrid:

http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=240643&highlight=k24+block

223 whp 163 tq at 7k!!! His mods are only:

k24a TSX block/k20a head swap
injen sri
jackson race header
hks exhaust
hondata k-pro
No internal work!

Damn, these motors have huge potential! It would take a fully built H22 to get that whp#.

don't take what I say to court, but I would have to imagine that the K-Pro is helping out a lot. But then again, I haven't heard any more mappings other then the K24 TSX Bse map in the K-Pro....who knows, I love my motor, I want to figure out how to get a TSX motor into my car, it might be easier than a head swap, and I want that 6sp tranny too

Yeah, the TSX motor has a higher CR than the Accord's K24, which is good for all motor, but I thought you were gonna try to get the Comptech SC? Or was that only LBM's idea?
