Re: why is my battery keeps dying

Idk how to describe a short lol >< Its what happens when you touch the battery terminals together or when you get a hole in your wires and it grounds out blowing a fuse. Also check your fuses and if you haven't yet check spark, air and fuel. Just get back to basics and trouble shoot. If you don't know how to trouble shoot a car find someone that can help we cant give you much help on the forum unless you can narrow it down. Also yes charge your battery always make sure a batteries fully charged even if its new before you try to use it to start your car with.

Re: why is my battery keeps dying

Let's do the Obvious things first.

1) battery tested on full charge should be over 12v

2) take alternator off car and have it tested at the same time.

If its not one of those....check wiring on the charge harness.

If the battery will not turn the motor over on a full charge ...check charge harness and fuses. Charge harness and starter wiring should be enough to turn the motor over. Unless there are wiring issues with the ignition

Re: why is my battery keeps dying

Take a 12v light bulb and put it in series with your battery (remove the positive terminal and put a bulb in between the power lead and the battery terminal). If it lights up your have something causing parasitic draw. Pull one fuse at a time until the light goes out or dims, the fuse that causes the light to dim or go out is a culprit circuit.

If the light does not come on than you need to look at your charging system.
