Alright, I have the swap done and the car is running. I had a slight idle problem but I have cleaned the IACV and now it is smoother around 1K RPM. I have set up the ECU for stock RSX type S settings.
Heres the question...
I am not sure where to start with the ECU because I have a 2007 Civic Si K20Z3 connected up with a 03 RSX type S harness and throttlebody with Karcepts plate. I have a swap header (very similar to the buddy club racing spec header) running just the primary O2 and have not put the exhaust on yet, need to get it to the shop on the lift...
Now the K20Z3 has the RBC mani which is a very high flowing manifold so with all the differences between the two engines, just wondering which setting to start with in my K manager when I start my tuning. I have watch all the intro vids on the cam angles and fuel settings (although I dont know what version of software they used making the vids, way more user friendly than the 1.3.4.0 version I am using) but because of my different combination, not sure which calibration to start with. If anyone has any thoughts on this I would appreciate it. I am just running a short ram setup on the air intake and I plan on running about 2.5 exhaust with no cat just muffler.

I am thinking of going with the 310 RSX with toda header, intake, exhaust, stock cams--but i dont have the toda header... is this going to make a big difference? thanks for taking the time to read..

id say use the map you mentioned , k20a2 todahder. that would be fine. im assuming your running an intake as well? lean protection is a pain in the ass. the first time you drive it , just pa attention to whats going on and if it leans out above stoich at any time , let off and adjust. i dont think you running lean will be a huge issue. post up a datalog if youd like a hand.

Well I was told to enable lean protection 1 only. I ran the K20A2 stock-tuned base cal. like this for a few months, but keep in mind I wasn't beating on the engine very much at all.

Just get it started with the base map and go for tuning as soon as you can.

Heres the research I have figured out so far on the K20Z3

Its closest K20 cousin is the Euro Type R Accord K20A2
It has the Euro Type R RBC intake
The balanced shaft comparable to the K30A3
Camshafts are close to the K20Z1

So, trying to find a basemap to start tuning is a pain in the rear if you don't know much about Kpro. I know that if you use the Euro base, you get error codes for the O2 sensor. Thinking just taking it to the shop would be the best idea. Is it possible that my idle issue is related to the tuning? I know I read somewhere that the ITR base was used to run a Z3 in an RSX and only had issues in higher RPM's. I appreciate all the info from the site
