Rumor is the rockers on k20a heads are weak and when taken above 9000rpms the motor goes boom! Is this true? Can anyone verify? Also How much are you guys revving up to tuned on Kpro with lets say a DTR header? Thats basically what the setup im going with is going to be.

I mean just for the future wise, remember reading that nonvtec with just those crower cams was able to make power over 9k but now that im finding out that its unsafe to rev that high its making me think. I heard the rod jornals and bearings are smaller and weaker making the motor unsafe to rev up past 9k.

I got my info primarily from this thread http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1164071 , stating that the rods are the same width as f23 rods which are prone to bearing failure. Word is that alot of cars on the west with this swap that rev daily to 9k are blowing up.

I also heard that the rockers are a weak point also.

I mean i dont know what to believe, it just has me thinking thats all.
