Just purchased my new 52mm Hayward Performance www.haywardperformance.com intake for one of the K20 motors I am building. I must say that this set up is awesome. Guess what guys this one will actually fit under the hood not like the others you know who I am talking about. First time I have dealt with Lance at Hayward Performance and I must say he knows his stuff. I liked the fact that I could talk one on one and get exactly what I wanted. I will post both intakes one with aluminum air horns and the other with Carbon fiber. The best thing about Lances setups is that if down the road I decide to go Turbo he has the Plenum parts avilable to bolt up to this Throttle body setup. Let me know what you think. Oh forgot to mention that the CF is 48mm for a smaller motor I am building. Thanks---Greg

welcome to the site bro.
Is this on a swapped car? Good shit man, but isnt hayward ITBs like in the 2gs+ range?

48mm are like $2500..
Time to sell a kidney on the black market.
No man... CBR900rr throtle bodies... Duct tape a few together and you are set
I might as well tape em to my nipples too.
lol,, Seriously though.. If you are on a budget you can use empty toilet rolls. That would do the trick.

Yep you can still run the PS. You get get what you pay for in life and I do not like hood scoops so these are for me.----Greg

Agreed. But i personally would never run ITBs as a well ported manifold by someone who knows their shit could yield gains just as equal as ITBs.
Hell eric aguliar ran a ported GSR manifold on his race car.

Regardless though after seeing this pic i seriously thought about selling a kidney :wow:

I have to disagree with you on this one. ITB will always outperform a plenum single TBmanifold on an all out race motor. Plus the Throttle response will be crisper. Any time a plenum manifold is used wether it is on a Honda or a Small block Chevy you are dealing with cylinders fighting for air. Remember an engine is just an air pump. The straighter the shot at the valve the better. You may disagree but I have been around the racetracks of North Americe for the past twenty tears and have yet to see a plenum style manifold outrun a ITB when the rules dictate that ITBs can be used on an all out race engine. Maybe on a mild combo but not on an unlimited style motor---Greg
I agree with this as well. Unlimited and dedicated air is best. ITBs :)

Just so people know, hytech and www.haywardperformance.com split the cost on the castings so the ITBS are going to be pretty close.. Only difference is that the hytech ITBS say hytech on them. Nothing else.
ghenderson1 how much were the 52mm ITB's??? I went to the website but didn't see any ITB's for the K series. You said they fit under the hood?? Do you have pics???
How much is that manifold in the window?
did you cut the old manifold? it looks like air goes in then has to make a sharp left. wouldnt it be better for it to go straight?
I know everyone likes the carbon fiber bling but I think the aluminum airhorns look way better.

Or as Paris would say, "That's hot" lol

it's not that sharp. more like a slight bend. either way itb's are going to make more power than a manifold.
wow, those ITB's (both) of them are sexy dude!

I wish I was at a point where I could use those for something other than bling under the hood
is it possible to put a air filter on the air horns like how prototype racing put an air filter on an air stack?

also, are those throttle bodies tapered?
