Subject: About the stage 1 axles k20a EG hasport that broke
Date: Wed, 13 Oct 2004 11:21:40 -0400 (EDT)
Hello,
I called this morning and asked about a set of stage 1 k series axles that
broke. The car was a stock k20a Civic EG, and was on street tires. he
launched at 4000-5000 RPM and this is what happened

I was told on the phone by DSS that the stage 1 axles are not intended for
drag racing/street racing. Basically, I was under the impression that the
stage 1 axles will perform like the honda OEM rsx axles meaning that they
owuld be able to handle "slipping the clutch" a few times. Apparently this
axle broke on this first attempt to launch the car.
I would like to know:
1) If we could get a free axles to replace the broken one
2) If a we could get a discount on stage 2 or stage 3 axles.
Again, I want to emphasize that I understand that the stage one axles are
not guaranteed for drag racing/street racing but the car was on street
tires and this kind of abuse in axles I see in daily driven cars so I am
concerned about the strength of stage 1 k20a EG axles.
I own k20a.org , a 3000 registered user community and I often asked to
give my opinion about what axles people should buy. If the stage 1 axles
are indeed that weak, I don't think I would recommend them to anyone.
Thank you for your time,
Nikos
