Re: what about Toda vtec killer in A3? oppinions

why would you do VTEC killers? i hope this isnt on your daily driver...
Skunk2 Stage2 cams and full valve train w/ Kpro might be a better option.
Because i hope you dont plan to use the Killers and try to tune it with the A3 ECU

On Skunk2 Stage 1 cams, you can gain 17+hp with just the cams alone. but the cams are 700 dollars

There are simpler and cheaper way to do a vtec killer set up.

BTW the "i" in i-vtec is for vtc wich you can still keep with the vtec killer set up.

Its actually not that bad. Yes it dasent' get the best gas millage, but its not hat bad.

It all depends on what size cams you are going to run. You can still expect 20-25 mpg from a 200whp motor with vtec killer set up.

Many race teams lock the rockers together or run a cam with bigger primaries and the center lobe ground off, this helps keep oil pressure stable. Many race teams have the perspective that if you are racing on the larger cam lobe 80% of the time or more what use is a system that switches back and forth.
