Hey litterbox i dont think thats a good idea i talked to hondata and they said if your using the tsx motor that the rsx type s vtc could cause damage to the valves and or pistons if you miss shift or over rev the motor but if you just buy a new tsx vtc which i just ordered but it wont be in till sept 15th then give it to a machine shop which i have one located in stafford Va and they will machine it to 45deg from the stock 25deg, and if im not mistaken the rsx type s one is at 50deg which could cause damge in facy if you go to the hondata web site and go under news and then click guide to what works and what doesnt work on the tsx motor you should see what im talking about. Hope this helps you out casue im sure when i get all my parts ill be asking you for help

Your link doesn't work...

also interested as I am goig to be running the OEM RSX-S intake cam and VTC sprocket in my K24a2...

I have heard of issues with VTC spike's that could happen if your VTC is limited by the comp at one point but will mechanically jump past that if misshifted or over reved...

you guys beat around the bush so damn much. i havent had 1 issue with a type R vtc gear and ITR cams in an all else internal stock k24a2, get a type s gear from someone and call it a day.

lol using a type s head? this guy already thinks there is going to be a difference, if you guys need helms to study before you go on asking rediculous questions let me know.

I believe the VTC advancement is a great idea on OEM stock cams, like the ITR, TypeS, TSX... I was considering having the TSX machined to 40 deg ( $100 at a machine shop ), now I have my sights on the TSX IPS SC cams which may not need the advancement, 25 deg may be enough
I read that advancing the TSX VTC on stock SC motor gains around 10-12hp and slight loss of boost pressure....
