I was wondering why he wasn't passing competitors at the begining of the race, yet at the half way & "restart" point of the video he & his K begin to shine

i'm todd; nice to talk to you!
its true; that car got loaded up after midnight the night before the race and we drove out; had about 75 feet of testing on it; from the garage door to the trailer. only gears i was sure were working were 1st and reverse!!!
i had originally planned to have it done about 10 days to 2 weeks earlier to shake down and test the car. Murphys law intervened, and i was damn lucky to make it to the race, period....
in the video, i was basically figuring out if the car was going to run or fall apart! the A/F was all wrong (scary lean; over 14:1, at times in the rev range). the drivers axle had a vibration on hard right turns; and i had the front suspension too low and out of balance.
but yeah, after the first few laps, i started to let the K run. bone stock, its almost as strong as the Killer B motors (built up B20vtecs with Toda top end components, etc.).
unfortunately, the battery in the camcorder ran out before the race was over; the fastest laps were right near the end.
since then, i have been doing a little tuning and shakedown; last month, at summit point, i was up in the front pack; about 0.6 secs off the lead pace. finished 4th; was 3rd up til the next to last lap when the guy got around me in a well executed pick move in traffic; i finished 4th with my front wheel at his door handle....
this weekend i will be racing a 2 day event at Summit Point in Charles Town, WV. come by and tell the gate you are with #11 ECHC H1 racer Todd Reid, and you can come on in and hang out in my pit. i promise some fun, exciting racing!!!!
later,
Todd
i used a walbro 255 unit from Summit Racing. the previous B series motor, i used the stock civic unit. it worked fine for the civic, but i was told that i would need more fuel and possibly higher pressure for the K so i got the walbro unit.....vuaccordla said:that was bad ass, which fuel pump was used?
