I have my k20a2 IN MY EK and I have cleared all codes except for the valve timing. VTEC doesn't work and it does not rev past 5000 rpm.
if anyone has any solutions please let me know. thanks

Someone told me that if the ECU cannot read the water temp from the radiator it will not let you go more than 500 rpm...

Are you using a B series temp sensor? Or a k-series one? Are you getting proper reading for temp?

What is the specific dtc number it is throwing?
You shouldnt have to run a different temp sensor at the engine,only at the adaptor pipe for the cluster.I have run without that sensor,and have had no problems with vtec.
