Ok i purchased 02 RSX base 5 speed manual. yes purchased, as in didnt lease, finance or borrow money. now i want a six speed damn it. so heres my thinking.
1. swap out my current k20a3 head for a Type R K20A head
also type R intake manifold, cams, valves, basically Type R spec
2. swap out my tranny for a type R 6spd (with LSD and better final drive)
3. swap out old ecu for type R ecu
4. pay less than 3 grand for it all
5. get Type R gauges

do you think this is a feasible project or should i just do a complete engine swap to a K20A? Also, should i just get a goddamn Subaru Impreza STi instead (and yes i can afford to buy one if i sell my rsx for like 15 as it only has 7000 miles on it) i mean, my current i-VTEC DOHC is ok and all, except i accidentally dropped a bolt into my intake manifold (it was actually pretty funny when it happened) and i think its in my engine block now because when im below 2000 rpm in 5th gear my rpms stutter and wont increase and the car feels like its about to stall, and sometimes my check engine light comes on, then shuts back off once im over 2500 rpm. but its driven fine for 2k miles since it happened. im also running without the stock airbox, just a wire mesh filter over my throttle body as it proved the best HP gains at high rpms when i dynoed it a month ago, and yes, i tried the AEM V2 (im selling it too) and i had more consistent power throughout the rpm range without an intake of any sort, plus it sounds better. i realize getting something in my engine isnt good at all but i dont give a damn cause i wanted to swap it out anyway and turbo it. i also got one of those apexi vafc 2's and it hardly made a difference so i sold it (thanks ebay). i had a RevHard stage 2 turbo kit, then thought screw it i want a type R turbo so i sold that too (they told me it wouldnt fit a type R swap)
oh and while im on the subject of stupid things i did to my car i also got pissed off at it last week for not beating a mustang cobra and kicked the rear bumper and dented it so now i need to put on my cwest body kit that was cheaper than just an OEM rear bumper. i also got my hood screwed up when a piece of wood flew out of a truck so i bought a VIS carbon fiber hood. anyway what do you ppl think? Suby, Swap, or Type R spec?

I think you should get a truck....you can kick the crap out of it!

but seriously i would just do the full swap.
