I have a K20A JRSC I bought off a friend.

I wanna go turbo cause I want more power...I was thinking of selling my K20A Engine (20K miles) and my JRSC Race Version (8K miles) and redoing my setup.

I wanna CN Stage 1 Kit w/ the K20A2 Stock motor..

Some Questions tho:
1. Anyone know where I can get a K20A2 Motor?..
2. Will Hondata K Pro work w/ the Turbo kit instead of the Guardian.

Please add anything else that should be important.

1. For the motor I would try Import Auto salvage...
2. Yes

3. how much are you looking to get for your JRSC?

why sell the k20a? You could turbo it no problem. Are you looking to use the extra money u save when buying the K20a2 to build it? Then it would make sense.

Its all good, but when even going turbo the k20a motor is not good because your already probably 2000 in the hole for a shorter tranny, which i think will play a key role later on with higher numbers and a bump in .5 compression and more agressive cams that will probably decrease power compared to Type S cams. With the money u save getting a TSX swap or a RSX S swap spend the rest on a quaife differential.

I gotta Type S Tranny w/ a Type R LSD all ready.. ACT Clutch & ACT Flywheel. Im good w/ Tranny. But I wanna keep the K20A..I wanna sell my Supercharger and go w/ the Stage 1 CN Kit. But I dont wanna detonate. I think I should go w/ Pistons to lower my compression.......

I would agree with a piston change. On pump gas you probably wouldnt want to go any higher than 5-7 lbs depending on the turbo chosen.

I was gonna go w/ the CN Stage 1 T3 Turbo..I use 93 Octane..That should be good. Im going to get a boost controller as well.

Can anyone recommend any good pistons?

You know I have always said to leave the compression where it is, run low boost, and get it tuned real well, and that is still my opinion. But if you do change out the pistons you should change the rods as well, since everything will be apart already...

Talk to Ron AKA Edo (IPS) about getting some pistons and rods, he should be able to help you out. DO me a favor and ask him about a High Compression turbo motor as well, and get his opinion on that.

Low comp- better for higher boost 10-12lbs
High Comp- better for low boost 6-8lbs

this is all just my personal opinion based on the motors and numbers i have seen in the past.

I  turbo'd ITR motors (even on the stock block, or should I say especially)

I guess i could have made my original post more clear. If you leave CR on the K20a where it is, you wouldnt want to run more than 5-7 psi on pump gas. If you change the pistons...well...thats different.

With a good tune a turbo can work well on a high compression engine, but you must be careful.

As far as pistons go I have run wiseco, CP, JE and Ross...By far I think that Ross pistons are the best, and they are expensive. I run CP's in my turbo b16 street car and have had absolutely no complaints performance wise, but they are a bit noisy. Just takes some getting used too.

thanks for the comments you guys..I will talk to that guy about pistons..

Another Question..
Im pushing 6PSI on my SC now..If I leave the Compression the same..and Turbo it w/ a T3 + FMIC..on 5-7PSI Should I get more HP I know not that much more but a lil more.

Then in the future I can upgrade Pistons.. for more boost.

k24a2 turbo since the comp is kinda low.

and getting it tunned its like like the ls

10-12 lbs maybe with very good tunning

but then again honda don't need much boost to be fast a k24a2 all motor is hella fast allready...

You could always just get a set of FI cams...

i think Ron (Edo) and Crower both have a set out

and daily driven I wouldn't boost more than 8 pounds or so, but thats just me
