The block has a custom CSS (cylinder support system) installed. This is a process where the block is machined to accept a custom machined Ring (aka blockguard) with a .001-.002 press fit. It pretty much is blockguarding done right so the fitment is perfect and doesn't add stress or distort cylinders.
Block is rated for up to 600hp/25psi with the CSS.
