Can you use the K20A2 head with this Block without haveing to do like LS/VTEC? Will the Specs change, K24A2 200@6800 166@4500 10.5:1 TSX 5spd 2.41. What about the compression chamber, will the bull be to small for the k24 block vs the k20 head? Would there be any other change when swapping with a stock TSX engine> Importrza: You WILL need to change the intake manifold and throttle body. b/c the tsx is drive by wire, also you will need to block off a coolant passage when you swap intake manifolds.
Thanks Chris

The TSX head is very similar to the K20a/a2 head. You do not need to swap the head.If you did swap the head,or got a tsx block without a head, the rsx head would bolt on fine.Same goes for any K engine. It wont be like an ls/vtec,no external oil lines to run,no drilling out dowels or tapping aplugging oil passages.
Even though the k20a3 and crv, accord and element k24's have a different type of vtec system,it is still vtec and still has the same oil passages. The solenoid and rockers shafts are basically the same as well.

The TSX head has a coolant passage and an (unused) EGR passage on the flywheel end of the head.

If you use a PRB or similar manifold on a TSX head, you need to block off these passages. I don't know the best way to do this - all the conversions I have seen so far have had an extension welded onto the intake. You can't put a plate over the passages because there is a bolt hole on only one side.

If you swap the intakes the other way around (a TSX intake on RSX head) you can just cut off the end of the intake manifold.

TSX valve size, port size etc is the same as the RSX, and should make the same power. There is a little EGR passage in #4 exhaust port, which ends up going nowhere.
