I am posting this to make a list of things needed in oder to get the TSX motor to work in a older honda, on top of the regular things a kseries swap requires.

So far, I have

-CRV side mount $50
-Block the water inlet port on the head so you can use type s or type r manifolds $50
-Use a rsx type s engine harness or an ep3 engine harness.
-YOu need hondata K pro or something similar
-Civic ep3 alternator and starter will work or TSX/RSX of course
-Any k series flywheel and clutch will work

ANything else?

I read somewhere that you have to replace the crank sensor plug on the harness with the one from the rsx of the ep3.. Anyone heard this?

Post what you know and I will update the first post

So far this is how it looks like

TSX motor $1850 shipped New
Ep3 alternator and starter $120
Ep3 tranny $500
rsx type s engine harness $150
rsx type s manifold $100
rsx type s TB $200
rsx type s axles $100
B series axles $80
Fuel crap $250
misc crap $200 (bolts, betls, gaskets, fluids etc..)
Mounts $500
Wiring -Free _Learn how to read
Honda K pro $900
Header $1000 DTR-FAB 4-2-1
--------------------------------
$around $5900 for a 2.4 L all motor swap that dynoes 220whp at 6900 with more torque than any other b/h/k in stock form.

Notice how the $5900 includes one of the best headers and the best engine management system for k series right now.

I am starting this project ASAP. Will keep you updated. As of right now, I am only missing an engine harness, have all the rest. If you think I am forgetting something, let me know.

Ok, here's some more pictures

side view of the motor

here's the TSX manifold and the throttle by wire Throttle body

the tsx manifold has 2 parts... taking off the first one

and the second part with the whole assembly attached

looking at one port

with the rsx type s intake manifold attached

here are the water port and the egr port.

up close

the water port can be simply machined to receive a 90 degree fitting

like this

or it can be welded shut.. like this

The other hole/opening... was meant to be the egr port, but honda blocked it from the factory... so it doesnt go anywhere.
