so i just got finished putting everything back together, dyno tuned, and ready to roll....i met up with some people and decided to setup some races...come to realize that the car wont shift into 2nd or 4th gear at HIGH rpms...i believe the highest i took it was 8300 and it went in, but anything higher, and it just wont engage...at first i thought it was me, but then i let my tuner drive it (and he's a hell of a driver) and he was having the same exact issues...but whats strange is that it only happens on 2nd and 4th

i have a 04 rsx, with a 4.7 FD, brand new competition stg 2 clutch disc and pressure plate, new throwout bearing, my old ACT flywheel...i also have a strut king short throw kit (which i plan on taking off to see if that may be the problem)..new tranny fluid also..

any suggestions or things i can trouble shoot from?

i was told it may be the shift linkage, or the shifter itself..any thoughts?!

is anything in the way of the shift paddles under the hood on the transmission? like a intake?

who installed the 4.7 final and how long has it been installed?

could it be a stretched cable or does it go into 6th and reverse fine?

have you tried to manually select gears with the selector at the trans?

funny that happened to me last night after tuning i put my intake tube too close to the shift piece on the tranny and i thought i lost 5th gear.

no, thas what i originally thought, but the intake isnt in the way

the final drive has been installed for a long time...6h and reverse go in fine...its strange that it only happens at really high RPMs...which leads me to think that its the shifter cable for the 2nd 4th and 6th gear

where the cables connect to the tranny is there any play on the dowel pin below the clip? like can u wiggle them in a up and down motion? if so you need to put the spacers back in so there is no play from the cabels up the dowl to the pin. let me know
