Sup K20A?? Well heres the situation.
I have an a3 block n a2 head sitting @ the house that I wanna put in my em2 already. the problem is the head is pretty damaged and needs much attention to. basically one of the cylinders is damaged up and the 4 valves included + im missing some cam covers. Idk how the block is doing but it seems fine.

too fix that is not going to be cheap man and spending that kind of money, it is not worth it to put that newly fixed head on that shitty bottom end. That A3 bottom end doesnt make any power and isnt worth your time. Sell that a3 bottom end and get a k24 bottom end. then put that head on:up:

gotcha, so is it as easy as just getting a k24 a1/2 block and slapping the head on there and go? (+ the extra motor mount) or extra modification is needed?

Stay away from the k24a4 (accord motor) bottom end. You would have to do a full bottom end build for that head to work on that block. K24a2 (TSX) and k24a1 (CRV) are good to go.

^^ cool cool.. well bad news is I just got back from the machine shop and that head is pretty much shit (catastrophic failure is what they told me) so I guess im back in the market for a whole 'nother long block. but at least I know which route to take.

I have a TSX head that only needs valves and springs i'll let go for cheap. Would make a good starting point for you to get you going. PM me if you are interested.

Ill be selling the a2 cams and a3 block soon and see how far I can get with that.
and as far as k24 block, im fully convinced to get one now. put is the a2 oil pan better or recommended?
